What are the advantages of a long-term travel insurance contract?

Long-term travel insurance is an insurance contract that provides continuous coverage for an extended period. The advantages of such a contract are numerous, in particular the possibility of travelling without interruption and the peace of mind that comes with the certainty of being covered in the event of an emergency. Continuous insurance, such as Europ Assistance's Long Trip, offers 24/7 coverage, making it ideal for those who travel frequently or take long trips. As far as annual travel insurance is concerned, Europ Assistance offers four different types of contracts: Light, Smart, Sport and VIP. Light travel insurance is the most basic and covers a trip of max. 14 days and medical expenses up to €10,000. Smart travel insurance is the classic travel assistance. It covers a trip of up to 3 months and medical expenses up to €1,250,000. Sport travel insurance is designed for travellers who practice sporting activities abroad. It covers sports equipment, reimburses search and rescue costs, and covers medical expenses up to an unlimited amount for trips of max. 3 months. VIP travel insurance is the most comprehensive and includes all the benefits of the other three policies, plus specific assistance options and services.
